The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” is proud to host the annual Solo Competition as a part of the Tuba-Euphonium Workshop, February 18 - 21, 2026. This year, we are pleased to spotlight the tuba as our solo instrument.
General Rules & Requirements
- Both preliminary and final rounds will take place live at at Brucker Hall on Ft Myer, VA.
- Participants are responsible for all transportation and lodging expenses. For selected finalists, piano accompaniment will be provided.
- Preliminary round will take place on February 18th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
- Final round for those selected will take place on February 19th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
- The winning performer will be invited to give a recital at the 2027 U.S. Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Workshop.
- Participants must not be a full-time paid professional performer or university professor. People of all genders, races, and ethnicities are welcome to compete. There is no age limit.
