Biography
Technical Sergeant Lucas Davey is a tubist with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of New Windsor, New York, his Air Force career began in 2022.
Davey holds degrees from Ithaca College, the University of Miami, and Indiana University. His primary teachers include Aaron Tindall, Warren Deck, Daniel Perantoni, Justin Benavidez, and Kenneth Pick. He has performed with the Albany Symphony, Naples Philharmonic, and the New World Symphony. In 2016, Davey was awarded the Aspen Music Festival Fellowship and was the tubist of the Festival Orchestra for 2 summers.
Air Force career highlights include playing in the Air Force’s 75th Birthday Tattoo, performing in the Arrival Ceremony of France for President Macron, and providing music for the funeral for one of the last Tuskegee Airmen, Brigadier General Charles McGee.
