Biography

A native of Galveston, IN, SSG Samantha Rasmussen joined The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2025 as a logistics NCO. She began her Army service in 2012 serving as a clarinetist at multiple duty assignments including: Fort Bliss, TX, Fort Sam Houston, TX, Fort Cavazos, TX, and The Training and Doctrine Command Band, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Ball State University and a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Incarnate Word. In her free time, she loves hiking, reading, and playing board games and video games with her husband and two dogs.
