Biography

Chief Musician Bryce Edwards, a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, joined the Navy Band in 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Music in music education from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Music in performance from Indiana University. He was the first euphoniumist to win each university’s concerto competition. He was also a contributing author to The Euphonium Source Book, the definitive guide for euphonium pedagogy. Edwards is frequently a featured soloist with the Navy Band, including multiple national concert tours. A member of the Tuba/Euphonium Quartet, he has also performed with the Navy Band Brass Quartet. His principal teachers are R. Winston Morris and Daniel Perantoni.
