Biography

Originally from Greenbelt, Maryland, SSG Liam McConlogue joined the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2025. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2023 and continued his studies at the University of Maryland as a member of the fellowship brass quintet, where he is pursuing his Master’s degree (expected 2026). Liam has appeared with ensembles including the Cleveland Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, National Philharmonic, Canton Symphony, and Akron Symphony. He has also performed on distinguished stages such as the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), and the Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg). His principal teachers have included Justin Drew, Richard King, Nathaniel Silberschlag, and Greg Miller. Outside of music, Liam enjoys hiking, biking, rock climbing, and playing video games.
