Biography

SSG Leslie Ostransky is a native of Frederick, Maryland. She holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Knoxville Opera Studio, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. Prior to serving in the Army, Ostransky used her passion for music education as a performing arts teacher in a K-12 school setting along with private voice and piano instruction. Her performance credits cover a wide variety of genres including opera, musical theatre, sacred, and chamber music. These performances have taken her across the United States and as far as Berlin, Germany. Ostransky began her Army service in 2018 touring around the country with the U.S. Army Field Band where she was a member of the Soldiers’ Chorus.
