Biography

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, SFC Jennifer Zhou joined The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" in April 2024. She received a Master of Music in Flute Performance at Rice University-Shepherd School of Music, under the tutelage of Leone Buyse, and a Bachelor of Music with Performer’s Certificate at the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Bonita Boyd. Prior to “Pershing’s Own,” Zhou performed with The U.S. Army Field Band from 2016- 2024. She has performed with various ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band. Zhou has participated in music festivals such as Spoleto USA, National Repertory Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, Schleswig-Holstein, Zermatt, Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and Aspen Music Festival. In her free time, Zhou enjoys baking and spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog, Mia.
