Biography

SSG Emory Freeman joined the US Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2024. Prior to his enlistment, he worked on the administrative staff of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, serving as the Operations Coordinator for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Freeman received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Master of Music Degree from the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music (CCM). During his time at CCM, he performed Leonard Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs as a soloist with the CCM Wind Symphony. His past teachers include Dr. Charles West, Dr. Tiffany Valvo, Ixi Chen, and Chris Pell.
