Biography

Originally from Bonita Springs, Florida, SSG Daniel Rosman joined the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2025. Prior to this appointment, he served as a clarinetist with the U.S. Army Field Band, touring throughout the United States and Europe as a member of the concert band and reed quintet, “The Cavalreeds.” He holds bachelor’s degrees in Clarinet Performance and Music Education from Florida State University and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. Before beginning his graduate studies, SSG Rosman served as a high school band director in the Florida Panhandle, where he presented clinics and masterclasses across the state in support of student growth and music education. At FSU, he represented the College of Music as Head Drum Major of the Marching Chiefs, leading the ensemble in performances nationwide. At Northwestern, his graduate responsibilities included mentoring first-year clarinet students alongside an active performance schedule. His clarinet teachers include Steve Cohen, Mark Nuccio, Deborah Bish, and Paul Votapek. He currently resides in Takoma Park, where he enjoys cooking and spending time with his dog, Latke.
